Chris L. just informed me he has posted the cooperative task swapper I sent to him to the examples section on SourceForge. While the code is simple, it makes many slightly more complex projects a breeze. I've used it on at least a dozen so far. It is running on 68K variants, 68HC11, H8, PC-DOS, TMS320LF240x (TI DSP), AT91R40008 (Atmel ARM), and now of course, the MSP430. Timers and delays are easily added.
How about taking a little time and porting your favorite piece of utility code to mspgcc? This is a great little processor and Chris & Dimmmy have done a fantastic job at supplying all of us with a powerful compiler toolsuite.
