I've made the thing work now: but only if "c:\msp430\bin;" is the FIRST entry in the path. Being W2000, there are two sets of paths, system and user, and autoexec.bat paths only get tagged on after the system paths. The really odd thing is that the compiles ran perfectly when typed in individually at the command line, but not from the makefile. No doubt someone knows why. Paul Burke
