I couldn't tell you about WinXP (I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole), but I have been using gvd as a front-end to gdb for the 68332 for a couple of years, on NT4.0, W2K, and sometimes on Linux Mandrake 8.0 (soon to be upgraded, if I ever get the time...). I have been using gvd 1.2.5 (the latest release), downloaded as a binary from their website. There are a number of settings in the Edit | Preferences menu for different fonts used by the program. There are also several others in the ~/.gvd/preferences file, that can be hand-edited. Failing that, the gvd mailing list can be quite helpful for that sort of thing. mvh. David
