Helio: Download from CVDS the jtag module and run make (read the various README's first) In particular, the subdirectory /hardware-access/HILppdev is the one that contaisn the source to make libHIL.so.
When you run rproxy, use rproxy msp430, it will tell you that it is listening to port 2000, although you can change it. I assume that you are running msp430-gdb with the GUI. With rproxy running, fire up msp430-gdb, go to the RUN menu and select download. It will ask you for the particulars of the interface, select REMOTE TCP, put in the network name of your machine or localhost and the port as 2000. It should then work! The links I found are broken, that's why I reverted to rproxy 2) When I run rproxy (rproxy-linux-20021030) it complains that libHIL.so is missing. I saw a post mentioning HIL.c, but I can't find that either. 3) insight is compiled with the msp430 as target, but what are the proper settings? Target, baud, (anything else)? I'm assuming the port is /dev/parport0 After this is all nice and dandy, how does it work together? I come from dev. using the HCS12, and this is a different beast. Any help would be appreciated :) helio ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: Thawte.com Understand how to protect your customers personal information by implementing SSL on your Apache Web Server.
