Dear sirs, I am new for msp430. I downloaded and installed on WinMe box mspgcc-030306.exe bat the C compiler do not work, when I try to use it I get a page fault. I have sone basic questions: 1) Is there a previous version running fine under WinMe ? 2) DB - GNU debugger for msp430 can work as a standalone application or with an external JTAG/simulator module/hardware. I heve an OLIMEX MPS430F149 HEADER BOARD. Can this board works as external JTAG/simulator module/hardware together DB - GNU debugger for msp430 ? 3) What are the difference using debugger as a standalone application built-in simulator for debugging purposes or with an external JTAG/simulator module/hardware ? 4) Were can I find some documentation on DB - GNU debugger for msp430 ? 5) Can DB - GNU debugger for msp430 used as built-in simulator able to simulate msp430 hardware peripherals like digital I/O, USART, multiplication ... ?
