The JTAG on the 1232 is a little different from the larger MSP430 devices, as the JTAG pins are shared. This definitely works OK with gdbproxy - I did a project with the 1232. Maybe it doesn't work with py-jtag.

Chris,
Have you tested py-jtag with a device that uses the shared JTAG pins?

yes i have and it works for me. i tested 1121 and 123 (in circuit and alone) but i dont have a 1232 to test with.

does the F1232 have an other default frequency setting than the F123? (cause the pyjtag module skips the frequency adjustment, unlike the original TI sources sugest to do...)

pzn:
did you check different units or only one?
and what is the exact error message (maybe add a -DD on the command line)

Steve

Hi folks,

If someone were able to program a msp430f1232 with pyjtag, please let
me know. I tried again sometimes, but had no success.

The hardware is the same, It works with "IAR jtag debugger" but not
with "pyjtag".

 Thanks in advance,
   Pedro
