I was sure it was a power issue for me...   My battery had enough power to 
only allow reset of the cpu,  but not loading or erasing Flash....   It 
seemed to make sense , since the msp430 draws more current for programing and 
erasing...and after i changed the battery, everything went back to normal...  
Your scenerio might be a little different, i am not too sure.. Hope some one 
on the mailing list can help... I am curiuos to find out what is the cuase of 
your problem....
