I got past my earlier problem by using different versions of gcc. I used binutils-2.14 with gcc-core-3.3 and no error messages, no getting diverted into morass of specifying include dirs for c libraries.
Now I have some good output, but had errors such as 430x1471 not supported, so deleted it and a few others until it got through the Makefile. What I changed in the Makefile: deleted crt430x1471.o crt430x1481.o crt430x1491.o \ crt430x415.o crt430x417.o Has anyone looked at the compiler setup details of the new 430xE413 and 430xE412? as compared to the 412 and 413?
