Actually you just explained why that daft Fedora based system keeps
loading those drivers. It's because the folks at Red Hat, refuse to
believe that people only use one specific printer type. Namely USB
attached in your case. They fondly believe that people will
persistently, and constantly use parallel based printers. You can
disable that, by appropriately adjusting the printer configuration
settings. And don't forget to log your complaint via their bug
reporting system. And anyway, all of the Fedora based versions of
Linux from them, are a replacement for the regular Red Hat branded
systems that we know and don't always appreciate.
