i tried different packages - all the same problem... i also tried to use a pre-installed cygwin (from thier homepage) with mspgcc - the same before every installation i removed mspgcc and cygwin entries from the registry and did a regclean. now even mspgcc-030306.exe doesn't want to work anymore!
