I have been trying to get Eclipse up and running now for over a week. I have downloaded about everything I can find on the subject and can't get it figured out. Part of the problem is that I don't understand how all the components are trying to work together. ( Compiler, assembler and Linker) .
Is there a step by step instruction sheet that is actually correct and up to date? What are the advantages to Eclipse?? My computer is about 1 year old and this Eclipse program slows it down like no other program I have ever run, why is this? Is eclipse a generic program that tries to satisfy everybody and in the end satisfies nobody because of its complexity.
