By the way, IIRC (I tried to check in mspgcc and binutils repositories through CVSweb if it is still the case, but I did not found the directory where they are located), the linker scripts supplied with mspgcc does not distinguish Information Memory A (address 0x1000) and Information Memory B (address 0x1080). If others do need this feature, I have a patch (it will need review, though, as I am not that familiar with ld scripts).

Otherwise, what should we except with gcc-4.xx regarding code size ? Is it improved ?
