I had a similar problem with a parallel port programmer. On a functioning system msp430-jtag failed to download. Subsequent attempts to erase the flash memory produced the error:
An error occoured: Could not write target memory Using msp430-gdbproxy/gdb(DDD) I was able to erase the flash memory. msp430-jtag now functions properly as it did prior to the memory write error. You may want to try using gdb to erase the flash memory and then try the jtag programmer. (* jcl *) ------- On 3/28/06, Moussa A.
