Hi all,

Just got my nifty little usb dongle. Got mspgcc. Got some demo code. Now
what? The CD and paper that came with the dongle were less than helpful.
Got the drivers installed, and there's an app on the cd which purports to be
a "gang programmer", but it won't talk to the dongle, even with the correct
vcom port for the usb specified. Most vendors give us some variety of flash
programming utility - I need to download a newer version or something?

<rant> Don't tell me - I need to install that 30MB piece of IAR bloatware
off the CD to program it - forget that. Any other options? Who in their
right mind ships a $20 eval board with a $5k compiler. Oh, wait, they're
subsidizing it, no doubt, just like my cellphone (good paperweight, at
least). Embedded GCC is a real innovation. Like to finally see some
company actually embrace it one day, instead of pretending it doesn't exist.
</rant>

Thanks,
Steve
