Hm... Thanks!  I'll try that.
But I can't seem to find any documentation on multilib, and I can't really 
figure it out.
Any suggestions?

Maybe mspx1 and mspx2, or msp3 and msp4. Right now the announced MSP430X 
parts all have hardware multipliers, but don't assume that will always 
be so. It probably will, but its a poor assumption.
