Funny reading. Yes, they don't talk about optimizing compiler.
Do they usually talk about memory footprint or oscilloscopes?

But they do talk (much) about C99 RTFM and all that
(sometimes crazy) basic ``design decisions`` of the C.

As it was pointed out, don't use C, then. And don't troll, please.
