It's "regular" JTAG.  msp430-jtag can talk to the board via
both parallel and USB (Linux host).  Elprotronics can talk
to it via USB (Windows host).  IAR can program flash via USB
(Windows host).

When I try to run the program in IAR, things get sketchy.  If I
reset the part via the button on the debugger, I can sometimes
hit "step" a couple times and step through a couple
instructions before I get the communications failure.  If I hit
"go" I usually get a comm failure, but if I click "retry" it
sometimes starts, sometimes it's another comm failure.  Once
it's running, it runs fine. Clicking "stop" sometimes works,
sometimes produces a comm failure.
