A new version of MSPSim, the Java-based MSP430 emulator, has been released. Version 0.95 includes several bug fixes in both MSP430 core and the radio chip CC2420. New features include initial support for remote GDB debugging and several new MSPSim-CLI commands for easier monitoring and debugging.
More details and downloads are available at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mspsim MSPSim is an instruction level emulator for the MSP430 series microprocessor. It emulates the CPU core and most built-in peripherals such as timers, USARTs, ADC-units, etc. MSPSim also emulate full sensor network nodes including radio chips such as CC2420 and sensors. Both IHEX and ELF firmware files can be loaded into MSPSim, and there are tools for monitoring stack, adding breakpoints, execution profiling, collecting execution statistics, etc. Best regards, -- Joakim Eriksson, SICS
