Thanks for the help! That sure made a big difference. I found that I had to 
uninstall things first. That was a little bit of a surprise because I thought I 
had gotten the files out of a tarball and they therefore wouldn't be see as 
installed _packages_. Whatever, I figured that part out and the new directory, 
/usr/msp430/* showed up with the files I was missing.
