Hello,

I'd like to thank Frank Harvey and Roberto Padovani for their quick answers.

Since I still havent't solved the issue, and regarding your questions,
I see I must add some details about my custom board:
- it is powered by the FET, via USB
- it is very small; although it has some expansion ports, I'm just
supplying power to the MSP and an external flash memory chip
- the communication is via "full" JTAG, not spy-by-wire
- most importantly, it has already been tested using both IAR
Kickstart and Code Composer Studio v4 and it works without any problem

Thank you,
