Since the GCC and GDB stuff will one day be merged into mainline, their regular release is not quite as important. However, as Adam said, it has been fairly unclear what should be shipped out in packages. Updating the packages on every commit to CVS/BZR/whatever doesn't sound like the best option, as I'm sure there are some commits that break stuff from time to time. Cheers, Rob
