Hi Max,
I had the same error with Cygwin 1.7, Windows 7. I never got it to work
with Cygwin, but try installing Mingw/MSYS as a shell environment. This
worked for me. The latest mspgcc Windows binary doesn't have any
dependencies on Cygwin.
cheers,
James

Hey,
I am getting a strange error when I try to compile with msp430-gcc:
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
The error occurs regardless of what I try to compile, even the LED example.
I just installed the windows binary package mspgcc-20081230.exe and
installed cygwin afterwards with some additional packages (doxygen, gcc,
python, perl...) besides that it is a clean install of Windows XP w/ SP2.
Thanks,
Max Leason
