Hi,
I have been using the mspgcc version 3 tools, but wanted to upgrade.
I downloaded the latest Linux version from Sourceforge
(mspgcc-20110716.tar.bz2) and tried to follow the instructions.
Apart from many instructions seemingly having wrong prefix paths, which
I corrected. I got everything compiled, with everything apparently in
the right place under "/usr/local/msp430/". Platform is Opensuse 11.3.

Trying to compile existing projects fails however, first symptom:

cc1: error: unrecognized command line option "-mendup-at=main"

removing this from CFLAGS produced:

main.c:24:16: fatal error: io.h: No such file or directory

Am I right in thinking that the patching hasn't worked right ?

I applied the 3 patches as described in the mspgcc-20110716.tar.bz2
package:

msp430-binutils-2.21.1-20110716.patch
msp430-gcc-4.5.3-20110706.patch
msp430-gdb-7.2-20110103.patch

and no errors were reported.

Can anyone point me to the source of this ?

Thanks,

Bob von Knobloch.
