Another development release of mspgcc is now available. This version
fixes the known bugs in 20111205, fixing problems with CPUX push
instructions, bitfield extraction, and clobbering the frame pointer
with certain 64-bit divide and multiply operations (FWIW, the last has
been a potential issue in almost every version of mspgcc, though it
most often arises in the 4.6.x series).

20111224 is also the first release with a fairly complete regression
suite using test430 and the tests/master branch of the mspgcc
repository. Users looking for examples might find the test suite
valuable.

The patch bundle is available at:

 https://sourceforge.net/projects/mspgcc/files/mspgcc/

The corresponding updated test430 package is available at:

 https://sourceforge.net/projects/mspgcc/files/test430/

The mspgcc-specific tests are not bundled separately, but are
available from the git repository
git://mspgcc.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/mspgcc/mspgcc at tag
tests/release/20111224.

A full development workspace that does not require applying patches
and that incorporates the test infrastructure can be obtained by
following the newly updated instructions at:

https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/mspgcc/index.php?title=Devel:git#Creating_a_Workspace

Downstream packagers: please only bundle this as experimental. The
stable series remains LTS-20110716.
