Jose,

That's awesome! The entire USB stack (with the exception of the Java Descriptor
Tool) is licensed under a standard three bullet BSD License. There shouldn't be
any overly restrictive/proprietary licensing terms to worry about.

I will forward this information to the person in the Applications group that is
responsible for maintenance of the USB stack. Feel free to let us know if you
need any support.

Best regards,
Timothy

Subject: [Mspgcc-users] Compiling TI's USB examples with mspgcc

Hi,

I've managed to successfully compile and test some code based on TI's USB
examples from the Developer's package with mspgcc. This code implements a
simple serial port using the msp-exp430f5529 board, creating a ttyACM device
that you can use with any standard serial terminal. You can find the code here
<https://github.com/jlhonora/usb-mspgcc>. It should be easy to port it to other
F5xx boards.

I'm clearly not the first one to achieve this, but since I had no luck finding
some other code I guess some of you will find it useful. Feel free to play
around and submit changes and improvements. I'm a noob when it comes to code
licenses, so if anyone sees a license infringement please let me know.

Kind regards,
Jose
