BTW, I'm pretty sure this was me just being a bonehead. I disabled McAfee 
protection for mass mailing to open port 25, which worked fine for the test. 
But our server team's ePO policy must've overridden it before I got to actually 
trigger the alerts. So, never mind for now...   :)

Hey folks,

I set up a subscription for the repeated malware detection, and set it to 
trigger when malware is detected 2 times within an hour. I ran the Eicar test 
file numerous times. In the moni9toringspace, I see the alert was triggered, 
but I never got an email. I have verified my email settings work, I got the 
test message fine. Any ideas?
