i wonder why, when you didnt have that option selected, it didnt use the 
ConfigMgr...

i forget where, but in the client settings there is an order you tell the 
client on where to get definitions from...maybe that is set first?

This may not be a huge deal, but it looks like my Endpoint Protection clients 
are defaulting to the MS update site rather than my CM2012 server. Any idea 
why? My MpCmdRun.Log file shows this every time an update runs:

search started (mu/wu update) (path: http://www.microsoft.com)...
