My remote users just have the vmware view client, all data stays within the datacenter walls.

They need a solid data backup/recovery plan... limited or no access to corp makes that a non-starter as a destination, so means they must rely upon their own methods (ext USB drive and B/U sw for ex)... having a SkyDrive available makes for a very nice addition to or an alternate for the USB scenario. I find that the trickle upload action I get from my SkyDrive works incredibly well and I have a really crap internet connection... same process used in OneNote as well.
