Does it boot if you run bcdboot c:\Windows? It sounds like you are using the
same.wim so it's doubtful but we just had that issue a few weeks back. The boot
files weren't copied to the.wim on build.

Subject: [mssms] Prestaged Media

Has anyone who is using prestaged media successfully migrated the process from
CM07 to CM12? I’ve got it in place for CM07 and it is working reasonably well,
but I’m running into some issues with CM12:

· For testing the prestage WIM in CM07, I had a simple three step task
sequence… format drive, apply data image, shutdown. That doesn’t seem to work
in CM12… the image is applied but is not bootable.

· Assuming you don’t bake the advertisement ID for a specific task
sequence into the WIM, does the task sequence you select have any effect apart
from what apps/packages are available by default in the wizard? (Can a
different TS be user-selected in the deployment wizard with no ill effect?)

· General question… does CM12 handle package updates any better than
CM07 did? I know that it previously had no idea if the OS WIM changed… it
would just use whatever was on the drive if the appropriate variable was set.

Thanks!

P.S. – One change from CM07 to CM12 is that I moved from 32-bit to 64-bit media
to support UEFI and Windows 8.
