Hi Jerry:
No, there haven’t been any recent changes to boundaries. We
specify our boundaries by IP address range and not subnets or AD sites, I’m not
sure if the article applies to that situation, but I can confirm the client is
in one of the IP address ranges. Also if I look at location services I see

The site name and management point are correct, so I am not sure it’s a
boundary issue. There’s only one DP in this site, and its running on the same
server as the management point. I do know if I look in the IIS logs on the DP,
I don’t see this client trying to download the content, so it is possible that
it hasn’t figured out the content is there to download. I’m not sure where to
look to determine what its doing in terms of finding a distribution point.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Or how about your boundaries? Has anything changed with your boundaries? Can
the clients find a DP?
This article may help:

IIS filters on the DPs? Run bitsadmin on a client and see if the log shows
anything.

Subject: [mssms] Packages going into suspended state
Hi:
This is in SCCM 2007 R2. Was wondering if anyone had some ideas on
this one. I’ve got a bunch of clients, all in the same site, that can’t
download any packages from their assigned distribution point. I’m seeing a
whole bunch of entries in the ContentTransferManager.log file that look like:
<![LOG[CTM job {B2214234-B9BA-483B-938C-84D2C27212E6}
suspended]LOG]!><time="10:56:03.131+300" date="07-08-2013"
component="ContentTransferManager" context="" type="1" thread="1368"
file="ctmjob.cpp:188">
<![LOG[CTM job {00603038-5D07-4E32-A6C4-AE3A918F31FF}
suspended]LOG]!><time="10:56:05.287+300" date="07-08-2013"
component="ContentTransferManager" context="" type="1" thread="1008"
file="ctmjob.cpp:188">
<![LOG[CTM job {1258D89F-9EA8-4596-8C00-018CC8836076}
suspended]LOG]!><time="10:56:06.147+300" date="07-08-2013"
component="ContentTransferManager" context="" type="1" thread="3368"
file="ctmjob.cpp:188">
I’ve verified the following:
1. The package is, in fact, on the distribution point.
2. The clients are part of the right site and are talking to the right
management point.
3. Communication to the management point is working.
The clients are setup to download over HTTP, HTTPS and BITS, anonymous
connections are allowed, and this site is running in mixed mode. I’m not sure
what else to look at here, any ideas?
Thanks.
Ryan
