B&C, and use a pause in the TS if you have one or two things that need a
manual install or config.

Subject: RE: [mssms] Build and Capture for larger builds?

I got my terminology crossed. I meant, do you build a reference machine
or do you use a build and capture task sequence? Some of our dev builds
in Ghost have 40+ apps and average out to be about 50GB images. I could
just make a reference VM but I would love the flexibility of a build &
capture task sequence. The problem then lies with getting VS2008 or
VS2010 and the such as an unattended install.

Things that don't need tons of updates, by all means bake into a thick
image.

SQL I would probably not bake in.

Anyone doing any larger builds such as developer machines or quality
testers? I am talking the Visual Studio installs and SQL express and
the like?

Did you do a true B&C or cut your losses and build a thick image?
