Charles started out legitimately wanting to meet Taylor Swift. The contest
was essentially to see who had the best viral marketing skills. One of
Charles' friends was a master of this. He enticed 4chan by telling them
Charles wanted to "sniff her hair". Charles never said that, his friend
did. The marketing tactic worked. 4Chans minions became interested and then
got Reddit interested. Viral marketing at its best. As a result people all
over the world know about Kiss 108 and Taylor Swift. This is the result you
guys wanted. There is not a downside here. Kiss 108 ASKED people to create
a viral marketing campaign. You got what you asked for. THEN you cancel the
contest? Kiss 108 got butthurt so they picked up their toys and went home.
They refuse to play with the other kids. They change the rules of the game
when it does not go their way. Kiss 108 is a clear channel station. People
need to complain to them and their sponsors, not the station. #
