After examining log files and event viewer it appeared that the management point was having issues. I uninstalled the role and reinstalled and everything came back up. Clients are now appearing as active again! Thank you for the help!

The clients were all reporting as active for a couple of weeks and recently all of them have gone to an inactive state. I am running in mixed mode and I was able to do inventory collection, software metering, and deploy applications and packages. As far as I am aware nothing has changed in the configuration since the initial deployment. Last Friday I started to see clients going inactive and by the middle of this week they are now all inactive. All of them were reporting as healthly. Our pcs are all Window 7 32 bit and 64 bit.
