You just create the scep policy in configmgr, then export the policy. When you
do the install you just import that policy file.
Changing after the fact might not be as easy. ;)

Pretty easy then. Just approve the FEP 2010 definitions and updates in that
separate WSUS instance. I'm not sure how to tell the SCEP client to get updates
from WSUS though without ConfigMgr policies though. It's probably just a
registry value, but don't know what it is off-hand.

How would I go about doing that? We already have those servers pointed at a
different (not SCCM) WSUS server for Windows patches.

Not in a truly supported fashion no - it'd be technically possible using the
same technique that was used to deliver updates to FEP 2010 in ConfigMgr 2007,
but that's not supported for 2012.

You could use a separate WSUS instance or a file share though.

We install SCEP but not the CCM client on some of our servers. Is it possible
to ensure those boxes are getting definition and client updates from our local
SUP instead of the Internet?
