Last migration project I did they had a few pretty lengthy MDT integrated Task Sequences in CM07. What I ended up doing was creating a copy of them, deleting the MDT-related steps (Gather, Use Toolkit Package, Validate), and migrating just the copies. Then in CM2012 we created new Task Sequences and were able to copy/paste all the desired groups/tasks.
So yeah...you have to create them new, but at least you can pull over the majority of stuff and minimize the time needed to do so. -Phil _________________________________________________________________ Phil Schwan | Technical Specialist, Enterprise Windows Services Project Leadership Associates | 2000 Town Center, Suite 1900, Southfield, MI 48075 Mobile: 419.262.5133 www.projectleadership.net<http://www.projectleadership.net/> [Description: Description: Description: Arrow email]Lead with Strategy. A MDT integrated task sequence is failing to migrate. My initial research indicates the failure is due to CM12 being integrated with MDT 2012 whereas the CM07 environment uses MDT 2010. I have read articles suggesting putting MDT 2012 on CM07 and converting the TS prior to migration, but I am hoping to limit the changes to the old environment. How have you migrated MDT integrated task sequences to CM12? Thanks, Jeff ________________________________ PRIVILEGED AND CONFIDENTIAL.
