Hi, I recently had to move our management point from our primary server to the site server DB, we were having an issue getting the client notification with the MP being on the primary server, once the MP was uninstall from the Primary and installed on the DB server the notification started working. This morning I noticed that I had an issue with a client installation, I mean the actual installation worked but some policy were missing from the action tab in the control panel. I waited for the client to actually appear in the console and noticed that it was not approved.
I enabled the "approved" filter from all systems collection and I had 150 domain client in that exact same state, once I approved the client and actually restarted the ccmexec service on the pc everything was ok. I did check our site settings properties for the client approval method and it is set to automatically approved computers in trusted domains, so shouldn't they be auto approve? [cid:[email protected]] I also noticed that about 80% of the 150 clients not approved were new pc that were deployed since the MP was changed from servers, can this be the reason why? For the record the Client communication is HTTP not HTTPS If I looked at some of the log files from a client that is "Not Approved" I don't really see any issue ClientIDManagerStartup [RegTask] - Client is not registered.
