No, I'm not going to be able to help you write a report for 26 (or did you say
264? ) different views as given to you from Autodesk.

the blog entry was written with ConfigMgr 2007 in mind. Are you CM2007, or
CM2012? there is no sms_def.mof with ConfigMgr 2012. In that case, *if* you
choose to use the blog entry, you would need to do 3 things:
1) YOU would have to make sure that the vbscript, from 2011, still has all of
the right regkeys as provided by AutoDesk. Since it's 2 years old, I suspect
there are missing versions of AutoDesk regkeys.
2) YOU would still have to make a DCM ConfigItem, and Baseline, using that
modified vbscript.
3) YOU would still have to make either the sms_def.mof edit, or import into
CM12.

If you choose not to use the DCM + mof edit routine, and you want to use those
27 views as provided by Autodesk; but don't know where to start--honestly your
best bet is to not use this email thread. No one here has the time to do that
kind of thing; you'd likely want to contract with someone that writes ConfigMgr
reports (and pay them) to write those reports for you.

Thanks sherry for reply...

Any chance to get the report with what i have already did ?

And also i checked your site....below things not getting understood ...can you
please help me!!!

So here ,,

in Step 4: add in the sms_def.mof edit to inboxes\clifiles.src\hinv\sms_def.mof
on all of your primary sites (to the bottom)

//----------------
//Mof edit for Autodesk products,
//Note, must be used with a DCM recurring CI, or a recurring Advert script
//----------------
[ SMS_Report (TRUE),
SMS_Group_Name ("AutoDeskCombo"),
SMS_Class_ID ("Custom|AutoDesk|1.0") ]

class cm_AutoDesk : SMS_Class_Template
{
[SMS_Report (TRUE),key] string KeyName;
[SMS_Report (TRUE) ] string ProductName;
[SMS_Report (TRUE) ] string Rel;
[SMS_Report (TRUE) ] string SerialNumber;
[SMS_Report (TRUE) ] uint32 StandaloneNetworkType;
};

so I need to addin the SMS_def.mof with above lines... So that it will create a
View(v_gs_autodeskcombo0) ? Is that means
"should end up with v_gs_autodeskcombo0 for a view "
And also what is mean by "'Mof Edit for sms_def.mof, if you use this. Remember
to remove the ' before dropping in sms_def.mof! "

I guess for above line it is just like comment for lab environment it wont be
any problem ?

autodesk provides.

I'll just say, yeah, what they give you is a nice starting point, but what a
mess. So; I suggest you start with this:
http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/skissinger/archive/2011/04/26/autodesk-autocad-information-via-dcm-and-mof-edit.aspx

You will likely need to edit the vbscript; because that was a few years ago.
It's probably beyond "R18.1" version in the registry.

Once you tweak that, deploy the dcm + mof edit, you'll end up with a nice,
tidy, single view with all the versions.

and then rip out all that junk Audodesk gave you. blech.

I did try to give that dcm + mof edit back to the person at autodesk that gave
me the original edits 2 years ago. Obviously they didn't follow though; and
stuck with what they had.

Subject: [mssms] AUTODESK - SCCM SQL Query

Hi All,

In My environment around 1000 machine's are installed with different version of
the AUTODESK..

So we have edited the SMSdef & Configuration Mof files ( added the classes of
All Autodesk)..

If i see the views of AUTODESK related 285 tables are created.

Now if i the inventory of installed autocad machine(Say AUTOCAD 2009 version)
resource explorer Its showing Like like

AUTODESK 2009
AUTODESK 2011
!!
!!
!!
!!
!!
!!
!!
!!
AUTODESK 2012
!!!

SO here in AUTODESK 2009 ..serial nuber its showing ,,remaining verstion
however its not showing the field it self that fine..

 Now i need to find the SCCM SQL query Like totol machine installed AUTOCAD(all
versions)--it should provide the serial number's..

(I thought it will be only 1 view so that i can join,and i can get the report
but now its showing 258+ view's..SO how to generate the report ? Any idea
please..
