Hi Mark, I'm buys as always.

The RP must be installed by CM12. On top of that even if you could setup it
up by an admin, it would have issues with the CM12 security and it would be
a TON of work to upload the 300ish RDS and reset the data sources for each
report.

I'm curious what their issue is with CM12 setting up the RP and managing it?

Hey Garth,

Long time man, hope all is well!

Just so there is no misunderstanding, this is for an initial installation of
the site. In a SQL box with SSRS installed, the customer wants to copy the
files over manually. I'm trying to find something that says it cannot be
done that way on an initial install of the reporting point. After the role
is installed I understand that this can be done.

If this can be done yes please send me the information.

Thanks,

Hi Mark,

Yup you can manually copy RDS/RDL to the Reporting point. There should be
tons of stuff like that on our blog. http://be.enhansoft.com/, heck I
finished a video on the subject too over the week end but it will NOT be
posted for at least a week. Ping me offline if you want prelease version of
the video.

Subject: [mssms] Manually deploying reports on Reporting Point

Customer wants to know if there is a way that we can simply create the
Reporting point role and manually deploy the reports by copying the RDS/RDL
files into the named folder. Has anybody ever done this before? I thought
it was done automagically as a part of the role installation. Can anyone
verify this please?

Thanks,
