I would think that it is possible.

Looks like MDT is the way to go. You can still obtain MDT 2010 Update 1 (just 
do a search). Not sure about MDT 2008, would still work I would think.

I think you are going to have to maintain some of legacy MDT environment to 
manage this requirement.

Agreed!

I think I would have to somehow obtain the image from the OEM.

Hopefully someone else on the list has already been through this pain and can 
save me from some of it.

Is it possible to create a build and capture task for Windows XP Embedded?  
Obtaining the image itself appears to be not possible.

In that case is the only real option to capture an image then create a 
deployment task (to add apps etc)?
