My bugbear is when i search for something, find a couple of results with
similar name, double click one to view details, find it's the other one I
wanted and click Back....

But all in all, I do rather like the folders and search functions. I just had a
go with console builder as well to add nodes for things I search for often.
Really good results but takes a bit of time.

I have a script which creates collections and moves between folders, using the
provider and the sms_objectcontaineritem and sms_objectcontainernode classes.

Oh I agree that part is a pain, but it's a lot better than 2007 was. I suppose
better by comparison, just not incredibly great.

Am I the only person who finds the search of all folders to be a PIA? I click
in the search box, start typing my search and realize the all folders button
didn't light up. I click in and out of the search box a few times until it
finally lights up then start typing again. Then I realize I didn't click the
all fodlers button so I do that which clears my search paramters so I have to
retype them.

Folders are listed in vFolderMembers (note this is folder membership so there
will be no entries for empty folders; those could be found in the Folders
table). That should hopefully point you in the right direction...haven't had
time to create any updated queries.

That said, the ConfigMgr 2012 console makes it much easier to search for stuff
;)

Anyone know any of the views/tables to determine containers in 2012?

I found a post from Phil for 2007 but I don't see any of the views/tables in my
db.
