The SCCM client is “broken” until the first built in OS maintenance period the following morning when the client gets repaired. After that all is well, before that, nothing short of uninstall/reinstall or manually triggering the OS maintenance period seems to fix it. I’ve resorted to not deploying Task Sequences or regular advertisements to newly deployed servers until the client gets worked out the next day or if I manually remember to do it. CM2012SP1 Build a system through a Task Sequence and target the box with a TS in Software Center. SC kicks in and says that there is software waiting to be deployed. When you click to run the TS - "Software Center cannot retrieve the information that you requested". Looking in ExecMgr we get what is shown below. Restarting SMS Agent Host - no improvement. Restarting WMI - no improvement. MOFCOMP - no improvement. CCMSETUP /uninstall & reinstall fixes the issue. I remember similar in 2007 but this was fixed (or so I thought).
