Yes, that will hold true with the final release: MDT 2013 only supports ConfigMgr 2012 R2, continue to use MDT 2012 Update 1 for earlier releases of ConfigMgr. There are a few things that keep MDT 2013 from working with previous ConfigMgr releases: . The known: o MDT 2013 only works with ADK for Windows 8.1; older ConfigMgr versions don't. o ConfigMgr 2012 R2 adds support for multiple network access accounts; MDT 2013 includes changes to support that which will break if used with previous ConfigMgr releases. . The unknown: o Due to the known issues, no testing of MDT 2013 has been performed with earlier ConfigMgr releases. Who knows what else might break.
