Since I tested it on my sole lab machine... windows 8... I'd have to say no.
is the wmisecurity thing not making the custom class? or not granting rights to it? It gives us everything we need. However, with the SINV changes for ConfigMgr 2012 we may change this in the future. Our SINV takes hours and sometimes days to run! It looks like two options I have seen out there are just enabling the *.pst extension in software inventory, and another was to deploy a couple of scripts, 1 to create the WMI class, and the other to populate it when someone logs in with that users information.
