Is that the checkbox? The one that is only for SP level upgrades? very cool it
works for R2 also.
So once R2 is installed I should be able to remove all of those CU updates from
my system, correct?

There is no SCUP catalog for R2 - it's not an update, it's upgrade. Sounds like
semantics yes, but that's the way it is. Your best option to upgrade the
clients is to use the built in auto-upgrade functionality.

The clients are still SP1 CU3. I want to upgrade them, using SCUP, to R2, then
the 2905002 hotfix. I only have the 2905002 patch, as I can't seem to find the
R2 SCUP Catalog to import.

I can't apply the 2905002 patch, is it looks like it requires clients to be at
R2 before it will be applicable.

Does that make sense, or am I missing something here.

Perhaps someone can just e-mail me their R2 SCUP catalog?

Clients would not show the update in the SCCM console until after 1) they
actually ran the update and upgraded and 2) they performed a discovery action
to create an updated discovery record. Try looking on the individual clients
in the Control Panel applet to see what version they are reporting. If they
are reporting the update there then they are just waiting for the discovery
action.

Thanks,

Subject: [mssms] Upgrading SCCM Clients to R2

So I did my upgrade to SCCM 2012 R2 last night, and I would like to use SCUP to
upgrade my clients from SP1 CU3 to R2.

I thought I selected the option to create the SCUP catalog in the process, but
I don't see it anywhere.

I applied the 2905002 hotfix, and created the SCUP catalog for this.

It looks like none of the 2905002 updates are applicable yet, as none of the
clients are on R2 yet.

So I have the latest patch, but not the R2 patch that is necessary to apply the
latest patch.

Any ideas?
