For the migration, you have to remove the MDT steps to migrate a TS from 2007 to 2012. The MDT pieces are not supported.

I've read that I should upgrade MDT to the newest version before importing. Do you know what sort of impact upgrading MDT will have in my 2007 environment? For the record, I have a fully built-out deployment environment based on MDT, along with numerous programs installed and usage of the database.
