Not sure if this is what you are seeing but...

There was a problem with the Adobe Flash Player 12 ActiveX installation.
The Flash Player installation was not writing a
 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayer\SafeVersions\12.0
value. And that is what the installation rules were looking for, but since
it doesn't exist, it always returned as "Failed".

To work around the problem, I modified the "Installable" and "Installed"
rules for the update in SCUP to check the "Version" value under
HKLM\Software\Macromedia\FlashPlayerActiveX.

I'm patching all of the above plus flash. For some reason I am missing the
report " Updates - C Deployment States/States 7 - Error status messages
for a computer (secondary)' cannot be found." which I think is the one I
need to figure out exactly which update is failing. I've tried and tried
to reset the reports to the default install but it never works. I guess I
need to call CSS and get some help with that. If someone could send me the
rdl for the missing report I'd really appreciate it.

Do others see high failure rates when deploying Adobe updates via
SCUP/ConfigMgr? I average ~50% failures.
