Use the DISM method if >= Win7/W2K8R2. Didn't have any luck creating SCUP/WSUS wrapper executing wusa. If Vista/Win2008 non-R2 you'll have to have your wrapper execute pkgmgr as the dism bits are not there by default.... Unless of course you push out dism to those OS'. I have a link to a script that creates the DISM wrapper and signs it with your cert. I'll dig it up unless you found something already.
