There is an enterprise packaging tool for Sophos (which is what I use). You end up with a single MSI after you plugin the standard installation arguments. This installed app updates to the latest definitions / version automatically when it contacts the update share. So you shouldn't need to run an installation script as part of your ts from a network share. Check the Sophos site as you can download it from your enterprise downloads section.

Otherwise I’m wondering why not just use a series of run command line steps to call the appropriate script. Could you do me a favor and file this on Connect, perhaps attach some screenshots of the app/dt properties? (Not making any guarantees we’ll fix it, but would like something to track it :)) Thanks Aaron From: listsad...@lists.myitforum.com [mailto:listsad...@lists.myitforum.com] On Behalf Of Matt Wilkinson Sent: Friday, February 28, 2014 12:45 AM To: mssms@lists.myitforum.com Subject: RE: [mssms] Applications with no source files in task sequences It Sophos antivirus. It runs a script which starts the setup. I wanted it to be a application rather than a package as I want to target different deployment types based on OU. I didn’t see the point in any content as the location of the shares is accessible to the system account. When I add it to a task sequence I get this error when editing the task sequence and the 2nd when deploying it. If I remove the application then deploy the ts and add the application its fine. Anybody come across this before or how to avoid it? _____________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System on behalf of Leeds College of Building.
