+1 When you stop ccmexec, Windows update agent takes over and shows its default countdown. The issue with stopping the Configuration Manager client agent (ccmexec service), or killing scnotification.exe, is that there are other (sometimes unknown) side effects. I'd recommend seeking out a method of "politely" telling the ConfigMgr client to stop shutting the machine down.
