This is a refresh scenario. * I've enforced the usage of using the SMP by disabling "Determine Local or Remote UserState" (It's just a lab) and hardlinks are working fine * %OSDStateStorePath% gets set to the SMP and data is written. All good. * Later on the disk is wiped, the image applied. * Now the out of the box steps are supposed to restore the data, but the variable %OSDStateStorePath% is undefined at that time, causing all steps to be skipped. * Isn't that variable supposed to be saved and restored at this point? * The steps also check for an USMT folder in that path, something I guess isn't on the SMP? (didn't check) How is CM supposed to work with those checks if the variable is empty? I've tried to remove the options (lab..), well it fails, but "Restore User State" is supposed to contact the SMP isn't it and figure it out? -R
